Thank you to all of our outcoming and incoming Board members for making The Cove School such an incredible community. 

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Families,


As we depart for summer, I am once again struck by how fortunate I am to be leading this fabulous community.  Last week’s Field Day was a huge success. Watching our 5th graders step up as leaders and all of the students have so much fun (even in the windy conditions!) brought such joy. Please join me in extending a HUGE thank you to Coach Arroyo for planning this event that will inspire lifelong memories! 

On Wednesday morning, we will bid farewell to our 5th graders in a special culmination assembly. They are more than ready for their next adventure, and I wish them well!  


On Thursday morning we have a special final assembly planned. Our kindergartners will give sunflowers to our 5th graders as a symbolic farewell. We will hear from our local librarians about their summer reading programs. And, finally, we will bid farewell to our retirees and staff members who are leaving. 


Thursday, June 13th is 1:15pm dismissal for all students.  I look forward to the last week of school with your children. Thank you for a fantastic 2023-2024 school year at Cove!

What a week! 4th graders went to Peralta Historical Park. 1st graders had a special visit from WildCare (thank you PTO for the mini grant to fund this!). And, everyone participated in Field Day!

Thank you, Classroom Coordinators We would like to send out a special thank you to all of this year's Classroom Coordinators who worked hard to help our teachers and students. We are so grateful for you and all of your help throughout the year. Also another big thank you to all of the parents who brought in items for the staff lounge this year. It is so appreciated by the staff! 


2023-2024 Cove Yearbooks Cove Yearbooks will be distributed in the classrooms on Wednesday, June 12th, to those students who purchased them. For students who did not pre-order a yearbook but would still like one, a LIMITED number of yearbooks will be available for purchase for $35 (Cash or Venmo) from the front office after school Wednesday and before school on Thursday, or until supplies are gone. (NOTE: To be fair to everyone, we will not honor pre-purchases - you must go to the front office at the designated sale time).


Enroll New Students Now for 2024-25 School Year Round Two enrollment for the 2024-25 school year began on April 13. If you live in the District, please enroll your student(s) before Round Two closes. Round Two closes on June 13 and campus assignment notifications will be sent out on June 28. Enrollments received after June 13 will be placed and notified in August, prior to the start of school. Please go to the enrollment page of the District website for instructions. Please note, current students do not need to re-enroll for next year.

Annual Giving Pledge Payments Due If your family made a pledge to the 2023-2024 Annual Giving campaign and haven’t yet completed your payment, please make your donation today. DISTRICT NEWS

Board Updates
On June 18, 2024 the Board will meet at 6:00 in the Hall Library and then again on June 20, 2024 at 8:30 am. The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and 2024-25 budget public hearings will occur on June 18 and then will be recommended for adoption on June 20. The Board will also vote on the most recent Grand Jury Report regarding school supplies in Marin County. The meeting will be live streamed via Zoom (link; passcode - lcmsd). Please know, public comments will only be taken by in person attendees; public comments via Zoom will not be available. We hope to see you there. All agendas can be found here.
