The holiday season is in full swing! Families celebrate different holidays, and some aren’t celebrating any holidays this time of year. As we navigate the next week which is full of excitement, energy, and a range of emotions, let's work as a team to set our children up for success. Please remember the importance of rest, nutrition and routine.
This busy time also presents an opportunity to practice the mindfulness and regulation techniques our children are learning in school. They work well for adults and children alike!
Thank you from our teachers and staff! This year, the PTO has organized a schedule for the parents in each class to bring treats into the staff room (if your class hasn’t participated yet, they will have a chance in the new year!). I cannot express how very much we appreciate this kindness and generosity. It has brought a festive air to the staff room space, and many people go in there to grab a snack, chat with colleagues and have a cup of coffee. Your treats are making a huge difference and putting many smiles on faces!! Thank you!
Highlights from this past week:
5th Grade Spontaneous Lunchtime Performance- Through their positive lunchtime behavior, our 5th graders earned the opportunity to eat picnic style on the grass last week. Some of the band students got the spontaneous idea to bring the joy of music to the scene!
Student Council Project: Pennies for Paradise- Send in your coins and spare change to help Student Council meet their $1000.00 goal!
3rd Grade Sale for Fire Victim Relief raised $545.00!
Coming up this week:
Kindergarten Sing- Dec 19 at 8:40am in the Cove Gallery
5th Grade Choir and Band Concert, Dec 20t at 6:30pm in the Cove Gallery
Thank you for your help in supporting our students! I am so grateful for this amazing community and all that everyone contributes.
Sincerely,
Michelle Walker, Principal
