Walk 'N Roll Wednesday This Wednesday, February 13th is Walk to School Umbrella Day! Walking with umbrellas and raincoats can be a fun way to start the day! Live far or unable to walk/bike the whole way? Then park your car 1/3 of a mile from campus and walk the rest of the way with your child. Remember to set alarm clocks 20 minutes early the night before so your child doesn’t miss the fun! Visit us at to our welcome table at the front of the school for a giveaway – rain or shine! Please help us reduce car drop-off traffic and teach our children the importance of using their feet to get to school.
Art Room Ask Ms. McKee is asking for four volunteers (1x a month) to take home the Art Room aprons to wash and dry at the end of each month. Please sign up if you can. Click here for more information.
Message About Fortnite, Online Game If your child is engaged in playing the online game Fortnight, you will want to read the attached community email sent by the principal at Loma Verde Elementary School in Novato. Consideration of online gaming's social (or anti-social) impact on your child is something important to be aware of. I am sharing this communication with you with permission from Principal Tehniat Cheema. Click here for the message about Fortnite.
Our Readathon Worm grows and grows with minutes read!
Our Coyotes have read so many minutes! We were so close to meeting our reading goal of 200,000 minutes in just the first 2 weeks! We hope week three gets us past our goal! Week 3 minutes were due Friday and will be totaled on Monday. Stay tuned to see how much the book worm grows! We are also getting closer to our fundraising goal, and hope to meet it, or even better, exceed it! There is still one more day to collect donations to count towards prizes. Contributions received after Monday, February 11th, will still be accepted and appreciated, but will not count towards prizes. Donations can be made to the99Pledges site, or via check (to Cove PTO) in the office Readathon donation box, or on our PTO Website (just be sure to note student names in order to get credit towards prizes). All winners will be announced at the Friday Assembly! Thank you for all your support during this very important fundraiser for our Cove School!
