Learning Engineering and Computer Science
While your children had no school on Friday, our Cove and Neil Cummins teachers were busy learning how to teach computer science and engineering! Michael Song (LCMSD Science, Technology, Robotics, and Engineering Teacher on Special Assignment, “TOSA”) and Ann-Marie Skaggs (former LCMSD TOSA) led our teachers and administrators through hands-on Project Lead the Way modules on biomedical engineering and computer science. When you support SPARK, you give our teachers and students amazing opportunities like this. Thank you!
Green Team- Zero Waste Efforts at Cove Led by Mrs. Rosen, our Green Team members are hard at work! At Thursday’s assembly, they taught students how to sort their waste. They volunteer their time to help students sort their lunch waste each day. Last week, they conducted a waste audit to learn how we can improve our sorting, change our habits and reduce our waste. Don’t be surprised if your children start asking to sort their waste into trash, compost and recycling at home!
