We are fortunate to have a wonderfully active Site Council at The Cove. Site Council is our school’s governing body, responsible for advancing LCMSD Strategic Priorities in union with Cove’s Guiding Principles. It includes teachers, classified employees, the principal and parents.
The Site Council seeks to build a culture of trust and collaboration within our Cove community. We solicit community feedback to create a cycle of continuous improvement. The community is welcome at our meetings.
Site Council Responsibilities Include:
Writing and monitoring our annual Strategic Plan (link) including school goals aligned directly with the district goals. Here are Cove’s 2019-20 Goals At a Glance.
Facilitating two-way communication between the school and parents to advance helpful innovations at Cove.
Supporting special projects to further our school goals. These projects vary in nature.
Cove Alive! Currently, the Site Council is collaborating with the Cove PTO on a multi-year endeavor called “Cove Alive.” The Cove Alive team strives to design and implement inspiring and interactive enhancements to The Cove’s common spaces that infuse joy and embody our Guiding Principles.
