Volunteer Needed to help with a small Cove Alive carpentry project Our first Cove Alive mini project is to carve wooden clouds (designed by our very own Ms. McKee) to liven up a few walls (the conference room and the room where we serve hot lunch). See the sketch above. It is a relatively simple project if you have the tools and some skills! Please contact me (mwalker@lcmschools.org) directly if you can help complete this project. Thank you!

Coaches Needed for Girls on the Run at The Cove Girls on the Run builds healthy, confident girls. We are actively recruiting volunteer mentors for our spring season starting in February. No prior experience is necessary; we provide the training, curriculum and materials. No need to be a runner, or even consider yourself athletic to become a coach! All you need is the desire to be a positive role model for a small team of 15 girls.
This 10-week program promotes holistic health outcomes. One or 2 co-coaches lead each practice, consisting of a movement-based lesson, games, and a running workout, all from the nationally-recognized Girls on the Run curriculum. Girls on the Run is one of only 3 programs recognized by the Harvard Graduate School of Education as a top social-emotional learning (SEL) experience for kids. View a video of the program in action!
