PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Coyotes,

Happy Easter! Happy Passover! Happy Spring! 

I hope you all found some creative ways to have fun and enjoy some family time over spring break. Our highlight was that three of my children spent 24 hours outside! We also did lots of cooking, baking, gardening, long walks with our dog, reading, board games and Zoom calls with our extended family on the East Coast.

As we begin our final stretch of the school year during these strange remote learning times, we will continue to find ways to connect, learn and celebrate this year. We will have to get creative!

Cove Spirit Week Let’s show off our Cove Pride by wearing the same thing -- we may not be together but we’re together in spirit! 

• Monday: Sports Day- wear team, cheer, chess, anything sports!

• Tuesday: Crazy Color Day- wear crazy colors combinations!

• Wednesday: Crazy Sock Day - wear your craziest sock looks!

• Thursday: Crazy Hair Day! ‘Do it up or show up with bedhead!

• Friday: Pajama Day!

Ms. McKee’s Weekly Art Challenge Create a poster to say thank you to anyone who is working really hard to keep us all safe and happy right now! Ideas for your "Thank You" include: health care workers, post office workers, garbage collectors... and many more! Place your posters somewhere special like outside your house, or in a window. Share your work here.

Virtual Cove in Motion- Daily! Join Lisa Shields each morning and get your Coyotes moving. The PTO will post the link on our PTO Facebook Page. Join us live or on your own time!

Get Your Yearbook! We are all missing each other right now, but luckily many wonderful memories made together at the Cove will be captured in the 2019-2020 Yearbook!  So order yours NOW! And you don’t even have to leave your house to do it! Order yours here today. Deadline for ordering yearbooks is April 24th!

Teacher Appreciation Week, Save the Date - May 4th-8th More information will be coming about how we can show love for our teachers!

SPARK NEWS

We are so grateful for our incredible community who have supported SPARK recently through the Online Auction and throughout this year. In light of the current health ordinance and distant learning for the remainder of the year, we have canceled the SPARK Spring Spotlight Auction and Gala scheduled for May 2, 2020.  With approximately $300k left to meet our $1.5M goal, canceling our largest fundraising event has significant financial implications. As a result, the SPARK Board is working on alternate fundraising plans to ensure that we are able to come closer to our $1.5M goal, which is primarily used for teacher’s salaries and benefits.
