Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4-8th.
While teacher appreciation week this year will look different, we still plan to celebrate our amazing and dedicated teachers and staff! The PTO will be using funds from their budget to provide each teacher and staff member with a token gift card.
We are asking for each family to help us create a slideshow video for our school! We plan to show this at a Friday’s Assembly (May 8) during Teacher Appreciation Week. Add a photo of your family with a poster here. In addition to your class teacher, please add names of teachers, specialists, paraprofessionals etc. Here is a complete list of teachers and staff that your children know and love.
Of course, we encourage you and your children to send emails of thanks and to celebrate your teacher in any additional ways you wish! Let’s show our appreciation!
Virtual Meeting Expectations This is an important document that I am asking you to review together with your child(ren): Virtual Meeting Expectations. We continue to hear concerns from parents, students, and staff about online behavior and Zoom/Google Hangout protocols. Please be sure to take the time to review these Virtual Meeting Expectations that apply to both full class and small group virtual meetings.
Wishing you health, safety, and connection,
Michelle Walker, Principal
April is Autism Awareness Month! At Friday’s assembly, students learned about autism. This comic strip explains how to understand the Autism Spectrum. It was shared by one of our Cove families. You can also watch this video to learn more about Autism.
Sora is here! The library staff has been busy getting an online library up and running for our third - fifth-grade students. This is one elementary online library that students from both elementary sites will access. We have been adding online books and creating Sora accounts for our third - fifth-grade students. An additional bonus is that Sora is allowing additional access in addition to LCMSD’s purchased content. Ms. King will be teaching students how to access Sora in her lessons this week!
LCMSD Lunch Service: All LCMSD students are able to receive lunch at no cost. Mondays at Hall Middle School from 11-12pm. No prior ordering required. For more information click here.
