Dear Cove Families,
Happy Mother’s Day! Being a mom has a whole new look this year and today is a day to appreciate YOU for all you have been doing over the past 2 months. I hope you make a point to do something that fills your cup today. You deserve it!
Parenting in the digital age is challenging. It is infinitely more challenging with our current reality of remote schooling that requires our students to be on technology more than ever before.
As such, it is important that we reinforce the age-appropriate lessons on digital citizenship. While teachers have folded in digital citizenship lessons throughout the year, it is time for us to review and reinforce. We want to ensure that our students are making good choices as they continue to explore and use new learning platforms and social connections through media.
Please build in some of these important digital citizenship lessons with your children throughout the week. The videos are very brief, and the follow-up questions cover the key points of the lesson:
Thank you for your support. We couldn’t do this without you!
Sincerely,
Michelle Walker, Principal
