Let’s Review Some Important Procedures:
Absent with Symptoms? Remember “Test or 10” Protocol! School COVID Symptoms Card and Decision Tree. You can find more information here: MCOE Covid handbook. Thank you for making our health & your child's health a top priority. Your child is able to livestream via zoom while waiting for school clearance.
Tardy? Children MAY NOT walk through the gate to their class without a staff member. Please come to the front of the school or your child’s assigned gate and call the office. Do not send them on their own. Thank you.
Traveling? If your child’s absence will be for 5 or more days, you are eligible for an Independent Study Contract. As far in advance as possible, please notify coveabsentee@lcmschools.org and your child’s teacher. Ask them to fill out this form with assignments for your child. Complete all assignments and return them to the teacher with the signed form. Please note- Independent Study is the only option during travel; we are not providing live streaming or distance learning.
K/1st grade parents and caregivers, please do not leave your child unattended before school. Please wait until they walk through the gate or meet their teacher.
Thank you. Together, we are the solution!
Sincerely,
Michelle Walker, Principal
English Learning Community Connection (ELCC)- Wed, Oct 28 at 10am All parents of Cove students who are English Language Learners are invited to our first English Learning Community Connection (ELCC). The ELCC is an opportunity to build relationships with school leaders and other families within our school community. It is a safe place to ask questions and get solutions! At the ELCC you will learn more about what is happening at the Cove School, services and programs available to your family, and how you can become involved. Our goal is to help you learn the information and skills needed to become the advocate you want to be for your child. We hope to see you there!
