December 4th COVID Test Registration for testing will be sent out the evening of November 30th. We will send a text message with information directing you to the registration website. It is important that you register that evening as preferred times will fill up quickly. We encourage all students to participate in the December 4th testing. Please sign up and keep our students and staff safe.
COVID-19 Exposures & Protocols We understand that protocols are strict and maybe more strict then some would agree with. Please know that we are following Marin County Public Health and the information they have sent to us, which includes the Decision Tree. One challenge with this is when students are exposed in outside organizations, such as athletics. LCMSD can only confirm potential exposures in classroom-based programs; therefore, if your child is on a team or in an activity where the cohort has been exposed to a positive case, we will treat that student as an exposure. Many times, this has implications on siblings and family members of that child as well. Please know that our work collectively as parents, staff, and a community to follow these protocols increases our ability to stay open.
Transitional Kindergarten for 2021-22 LCMSD will not offer transitional kindergarten for the 2021-22 school year. We understand that there may be some families who were planning on transitional kindergarten for 2021-22. LCMSD will be hosting a parent meeting regarding this December 1, 2020 at 4:30 via Zoom. Help Wanted - Substitutes
Many parents have been asking how they can help support our schools. One important need is to build our substitute teaching pool. To attract a larger substitute pool, we have temporarily increased our rates by 20% for the 2020-21 school year ($180/day and $192/day after 10 days). Please visit the MCOE website (here) to sign up and/or get more information. Once you are registered to sub, please contact the school office (covesecretaries@lcmschools.org) about setting up an orientation to our COVID processes and protocols for subbing.
