Cove PTO Holiday Store 2020 A New Look to a Favorite Tradition While our beloved school tradition had to undergo some changes this year, we are happy to share that we have reimagined it! Each child will still be able to delight you with a thoughtful treasure. The PTO has purchased self-contained craft kits, supplies, and wrapping materials for children to assemble in their classrooms. Each child will bring $1 to purchase 2 crafts to make for special people in their lives.
Children will be assembling the crafts and wrapping them in their classrooms. Distance learners will get to create their crafts at home with their teachers during their DL class. Your teacher will provide details about when your class is doing this.
Please remember to send $1 (the kids enjoy ‘purchasing’ a gift for you) and look for these treasures when they come home. Keep in mind--- kids will be largely wrapping these gifts alone, so they will have a special authenticity to them:)
Stay-at-Home Order Tuesday, December 8th goes into affect. Please note this means that all playgrounds, including the one at The Cove must be closed. For more information, please see here.
English Learning Community Connection (ELCC)- Wed, Dec 9 at 9am via zoom All parents of Cove students who are English Language Learners are invited to our second English Learning Community Connection (ELCC). The ELCC is an opportunity to build relationships with school leaders and other families within our school community. It is a safe place to ask questions and get solutions! At the ELCC you will learn more about what is happening at the Cove School, services and programs available to your family, and how you can become involved. Our goal is to help you learn the information and skills needed to become the advocate you want to be for your child. We hope to see you there!
Staff Sweatshirt Secret Snowflake Last year, we gifted each of our beloved staff a cozy spirit wear hoodie! It was so well received we are going to do it again this year to bring cheer to those who are working hard to allow our kids to be in school! In fact, this year, we are spreading the love to include our district office team who has been instrumental in school reopening. Let’s go big and show them our appreciation!
Secret Snowflakes may remain anonymous or may include a “from” note. Sign up here by Wednesday, December 16th as a class, a group, or an individual to purchase a hoodie for someone special to Cove! Sweatshirts are $35 each. Payment may be submitted by check (payable to Cove PTO) via this link by Dec 16. Thank you!
