Dear Cove Families,
It takes a village, and I am glad you are Cove’s village! Wow- we had a record turnout for lunch volunteers! Thank you to over 100 parents for stepping up to help out in this important role. I am so happy that our volunteers are getting vaccines and I look forward to working with you all to implement a safe, organized yet fun and social lunch/recess routine!
In preparation for April 12, our staff is working hard to prepare new schedules, assemble furniture, re-arrange classrooms, purchase and organize recess equipment for your children, etc. etc. Thank you to our amazing teachers and staff for gearing up for another new schedule on behalf of our children! #CoyoteStrong

Cove in Motion- Wednesdays and Fridays- CIM Yoga Style with Brooke Golden on Fridays (Friday Link) and CIM with Lisa Shields on Wednesdays (Wednesday Link)! PM cohort- we invite you to join us 8:10-8:25am. Mark your calendars for March 17, March 19, March 24, March 26 and March 31.
From the Library Students can request books by going to the library catalog found on the Library Page of the Cove School website. Books will be delivered to the classroom to students attending school in person. For students in Distance Learning, books will be placed on a cart outside the main entrance for pick up each day 8:00 am - 3:30 pm.

As we wrap up this unprecedented and adventurous year, be sure to get your copy of the 2020-2021 Cove School yearbook full of all of the student smiles that we missed seeing in person! Attention 5th Grade Parents - Join the Hall PTA 2020/21 Team! There are multiple key positions available on the 2021/22 Hall PTA Board offering a great opportunity to be involved at the school. 6th Grade VPs (2 positions): Manage Hall spirit wear sales, communications to 6th grade families as needed and an optional 6th grade service project.
Parent Education Coordinators: (2 positions): Work with the Hall Counseling team to organize parent education events.
Health & Safety Coordinator: Work with the Hall secretary to ensure that all emergency supplies are up to date and also serve as the Hall representative for Safe Routes to Schools
Auditor: Work with the treasurer to prepare the mid-year and year edit audits.
Parliamentarian: Provide advice on proper parliamentary procedures during meetings, swear-in new board members and be versed in the PTA Bylaws.
Spring Online Auction is April 27-May 2nd We will feature lots of exciting items to bid on, including parent parties and grade level themed baskets.
Parent Parties Our online auction will feature sign-up parties that are a great way to have fun and support SPARK at the same time. We’re actively looking for parents to host parent-only parties, family-parties, or kid-parties. All spring events will be held virtually and in-person fall events will be limited in number of attendees and adhere to current county health and safety regulations. Click here for more information.

Spring Soiree is May 1st While current county health and safety guidelines do not permit us to gather in person this year, we are working hard to make this a memorable virtual event which will feature entertainment, a live auction, raise your paddle (Fund a Need) and some surprises! More details to follow!
April 1 and 2 will be distance learning days so that teachers and staff can prepare our schools for the full classroom return on April 12. Your child will have a total of 60 minutes each day on Zoom and 180 minutes (120 for Kindergarten) of assignments. Thank you in advance for your support.

Board Updates The Board met on Wednesday, March 10, 2021. The Learning Hub (video) and community support were celebrated. Thank you Larkspur Community Foundation, Corte Madera Community Foundation, Town of Corte Madera, Neil Cummins PTO, YMCA, MCOE, and private donors for your support in our Learning Hubs. A COVID Update regarding the full classroom return was presented, the second interim budget was approved, the savings to taxpayers resulting from the refinancing of school bonds was presented, and budget reductions were discussed.
