Here’s what we need from you to make this transition smooth:
Cove Parent Survey- Due Mar 31! We want to hear from you! Action: Click HERE to take the parent survey (one for each child before March 31st). Spanish version here and hard copies are available in the office if you prefer to use a hard copy to complete the survey. Thank you!
Re-entry After Spring Break: Travel/ Gather Form- Even though we are officially in the state Orange Tier, there are still travel and gathering guidelines in place for our county. If you engage in “high risk” activities as defined by traveling out of state or gathering with more than 3 families for more than 2 hours, please notify your child’s teacher directly and fill out this form. Your child must quarantine for 10 days after the high risk activity or get tested 5 days after and can return to school on day 8 with a negative COVID test.
During this required quarantine time, your child will have access to live streaming. Live streaming is not available for those who travel when school is in session (outside of Apr 5-9). It is only available for mandated quarantine periods. Live stream will continue being offered to students who are on Test or 10 due to symptoms or possible exposure. (Test or 10 Decision Tree)
Return to Full Classrooms Parent Training: Tuesday, March 30 at 8:30 (ZOOM LINK) and Wednesday, March 31 at 4:30 (ZOOM LINK) Over the next couple weeks we will be providing workshops for staff, students, and parents regarding our return to full classrooms. Our parent training is scheduled for March 30 at 8:30am and will be repeated on March 31 at 4:30pm. The training will be recorded.
Volunteer Training: 3/31 at 8:30am Lunch volunteer positions have been filled; this includes substitutes. At this time we ask that no more parents sign up. We will be conducting a volunteer training session on March 31 at 8:30am that stresses our COVID protocols, confidentiality, and how to best assist students. The training will be recorded. Zoom link here.
Food on Campus: With the return of food at school, we need your help!
Allergies- Please read this Food Allergy Parent Letter April 2021. Your teacher will notify you if your class is nut restricted (eg cannot pack nuts in snacks or lunches).
Snacks- We are anticipating kids will need a snack time, however, this will vary class by class. When packing a snack, be sure it is small and easy to manage/ eat quickly.
Lunch- You can pre-order through LunchMaster (cold options only, pre-bagged) or pack a lunch. Students will have 15 minutes to eat and can take any food that is left home with them to eat after school.
Thank you for your part in setting us up for success on April 12!
Sincerely,
Michelle Walker, Principal

With your financial support, SPARK can ensure that its funding commitment to the District is stable not just for this 2020-2021 school year but for future years as well. In light of the current budget reductions our District faces and increased costs associated with safe return to school, your participation is critical. We are asking your family to make a donation of any amount that is meaningful to you. Donate here.
