Welcome Back to School - Full Classes and Longer Days! We hope everyone had a safe and fun Spring Break. We are looking forward to our return to full classes and a longer school day beginning tomorrow, April 12th. Please remember:
Arrive at school ON TIME. Teachers will meet classes at line up locations at 8:05 a.m. and classes start at 8:10 a.m. All gates will be closed at 8:15 a.m.. If your child is late, please call the school office so a staff member can meet your child at the front office door.
Please do not come to in person school if your child has symptoms or has engaged in traveling/gathering (more details below).
The school office is closed to the public.
Many students and parents will be walking in the back parking lot. Please help keep all of us safe. NO driving, drop off or parking in the back school parking lot.
Bring a snack and lunch (or order LunchMaster school lunches in advance).
If your child’s classroom is nut-restricted, please be sure to help keep all of our students safe and healthy.
Keep all pets at home and please do not bring them to the gates or tie them to a school fence during school hours, drop off and/or pick up times.
Re-entry After Spring Break: Travel/ Gather Form Even though we are officially in the state Orange Tier, there are still travel and gathering guidelines in place for our county. If you engage in “high risk” activities as defined by traveling out of state or gathering with more than 3 families for more than 2 hours, please notify your child’s teacher directly and fill out this form. Your child must quarantine for 10 days after the high risk activity or get tested 5 days after and can return to school on day 8 with a negative COVID test.
During this required quarantine time, your child will have access to live streaming. Live streaming is not available for those who travel when school is in session (outside of Apr 5-9). It is only available for mandated quarantine periods. Live stream will continue being offered to students who are on Test or 10 due to symptoms or possible exposure. (Test or 10 Decision Tree)
Food on Campus: With the return of food at school, we need your help!
Allergies- Please read this Food Allergy Parent Letter April 2021. Your teacher has notified you if your class is nut restricted (eg cannot pack nuts in snacks or lunches). These classes at Cove are nut restricted: All kindergarten, 1st- O’Reilly, 2nd- Osterman, 3rd- Hancock and Weltzien, 4th- Capo, Maher, Holst, 5th- Estes.
Snacks- We are anticipating kids will need a snack time, however, this will vary class by class. When packing a snack, be sure it is small and easy to manage/ eat quickly.
Lunch- You can pre-order through LunchMaster (cold options only, pre-bagged) or pack a lunch. Students will have 15 minutes to eat and can take any food that is left home with them to eat after school.
School Lunch/ LunchMaster Starting April 12th, lunches will be delivered and distributed to students in their classroom on a daily basis. LunchMaster will no longer provide 5 day lunch boxes on Mondays. You will still continue to order lunch online at www.thelunchmaster.com. Be sure to order before 10am the day prior to receive lunch the next day. Late orders will not be accepted. More information here.
Please update your LunchMaster account with your students Grade, Classroom Teacher, School Code - this will ensure your child receives their ordered lunch. (school codes: hallmiddle, neilcummins, coveschool). To do this, go to your LunchMaster account and go to:
