Mark your calendars...Each day during the week of May 3-7 we will be showing our appreciation for our teachers and staff!

• Monday: PTO sponsored coffee & donuts

• Tuesday: Bring a flower for your teacher (and more flowers for other special staff members that your child wants to thank), and they combine into a beautiful class bouquet!

• Wednesday: PTO sponsored/hosted lunch

• Thursday: PTO sponsored gift to teachers and staff

• Friday: Cards to all teachers and staff. *Start early! These cards and the special notes they contain become keepsakes for years to come!

SCHOOL & PTO NEWS

Cove Yearbook: This is it! Sales end on FRIDAY, APRIL 30TH! No more extensions. We are not ordering extra yearbooks this year - so only those who pre-order will receive one! Our kids have had enough disappointment this year - don’t let this be another one! Get your Cove Yearbook today!

Web Use Before School: Many K/1 families are using the web before school. We ask that you please reinforce our school expectations during this time- no wrestling, no contact (hugs, etc), maintain distance, wear masks. Thank you for your help in giving a consistent message to our kids while on school grounds for school.

Clarification on Playground Use After School: 5G has a facilities use contract with our district and has access to the playground and certain rooms until 6pm every week day. While the busiest time is 2:05-3:00pm when all of the 5G cohorts are out there on the playground, some groups will still be using parts of the playground for their programs between 3-6pm. We ask that you respect staff members when they are running a program and move to a different space as needed. Thank you for your teamwork!

Safe Routes to School Presents Family Biking Live! Thursday, April 29, 6:00pm - 7:00pm. This free zoom workshop will help students ages 7-11 for biking safely. Families will learn bike and helmet fit, navigating the road legally and responsibly, and how to build confident, safe cyclists based on age appropriate development. SPARK UPDATES

Spring Soiree is next Saturday, May 1st Featuring Pre-Show Cocktails with famed mixologist Kevin Dietrich of PCH, San Francisco illusionist Andrew Evans from The Magic Patio and a performance by special musical guest Michael Franti, this event will also include fantastic live auction items to bid on and an opportunity to raise our virtual paddles to Fund the Gap. Tickets prices starting at $25. Tickets sales for party boxes end tonight and general admission event tickets available through Friday April 30. Learn more here. 

Spring Online Auction Opens Tuesday at Noon!  Featuring exciting items to bid on, including parent parties and grade level themed baskets, the auction runs through May 2nd. Preview items here.
