Reminder! Calling All 5th Graders! Announcing the 2021-2022 Cove School Yearbook Cover Design Contest! This year's theme is: "Let's Sail Together" - We cannot change the direction of the wind, but we can adjust our sails to always reach our destination. The winning entry will appear on the front of the yearbook and the winner will receive a free yearbook. All entries are due by 4pm on Tuesday, October 26th, voting will take place at lunch in early November, and the winner will be announced in June. All 5th grade students received official rules in their classrooms this week. For more information, please contact: coveryearbook@gmail.com.
Here are some quick updates from our COVID Rapid Testing Program
All Cove families have been issued a test for home use (student use only)
6th graders at Hall have been issued a test for home use (student use only)
We anticipate receiving more tests in the next couple weeks to then begin distribution at Neil Cummins (starting with 5th graders)
All school health offices have a limited supply of Binax rapid tests. In the majority of cases we expect parents to test their children when symptomatic; however, in rare cases (when deemed by our staff) we will test students on site. If you want to opt your child out of site-based testing when/if the health office determines a need to be tested, please email ghurwitz@lcmschools.org by October 6, 2021 and she will place you on the do not test list.
