Friday was a festive day of celebration. Have you seen the beautiful Día de los Muertos altar in front of Cove near the office entrance? If not, please take a moment to check it out! It is a beautiful work of art honoring all of the loved ones in the pictures you sent! In our Friday morning assembly, Jasmine, Glenda, Monica and Maribel shared about the Día de los Muertos tradition and invited students to share about how they honor their loved ones who have passed away. Thank you to them for bringing this tradition to Cove!

SPARK Participation Challenge is back During the month of November, district families have come together to show their commitment to support our schools with the SPARK Participation Challenge. While our ultimate participation goal by the end of the school year is 100%, the SPARK Giving Day goal is 65% by November 16th. We need everyone to participate to make this happen! Look for the Giving Tree poster on campus and watch it grow! Your fall donation help the foundation plan its financial commitment for the District for next school year.
In case you need another reason to make your Annual Giving donation this year, we've sweetened the pot with a a sweet treat from Nothing Bundt Cakes. If we reach 65% participation by November 16th, every student gets a free Bundtlet.
Make your donation or pledge by November 16th and be entered to win our big Giving Day raffle! More details on exciting prizes and surprises coming soon.
Increase your odds - families new to our District who make a donation or returning families with a higher donation than last year will receive two entries in the raffle.
Corporate Match can help boost your donation - check here to see if your employer participates.
SPARK Tip: Our volunteers are starting 1:1 outreach to all District families who have not yet participated. Make your donation or pledge today and get off our call list!

Message from Ms. Estes (5th Grade Teacher): It was such a special treat to spend the past week in Washington D.C. I attended a Democratic Reception in the stunning Jefferson Building (part of the Library of Congress) with Nancy Pelosi and multiple other members of Congress. The First Lady's Luncheon was an event to remember! There were performances by the United States Marine Band, Tony Award Winner, Brian Stokes Mitchell, a welcome message by Amanda Gorman, and more! First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff both gave inspiring speeches. The monuments, Smithsonians, Mt. Vernon, Arlington National Cemetery, White House, Capitol, and endless other places make DC an amazing place to visit and learn.
