Student leaders making announcements to the school about ways to help our school and our community at large!
The holiday season is in full swing! Families celebrate different holidays, and some aren’t celebrating any holidays this time of year. As we navigate the next week which is full of excitement, energy, and a range of emotions, let's work as a team to set our children up for success. Please remember the importance of rest, nutrition and routine.
This busy time also presents an opportunity to practice the mindfulness and regulation techniques our children are learning in school. They work well for adults and children alike!
The spirit of celebration and philanthropy is alive at Cove. Here are two student-led efforts this week:
SF Marin Food Bank- Please Donate Canned Goods by Tuesday! Two 5th graders initiated a food drive for SF Marin Food Bank to help people who are food insecure. They made an announcement to the school and visited classrooms to share an informative presentation. Barrels are in the gallery for food donations now through Tuesday, December 14th. They will be picked up on Dec 15. The goal is to collect 400 lbs of food! Please, no glass containers.
Toys for Tots- Bake Sale Monday 12/13 at 3pm on the Blacktop A group of five 4th graders have organized a bake sale for Monday. Proceeds will be donated to Toys for Tots to provide toys for children during this holiday season!
I look forward to a festive week ahead!
