Dear Families,
With the mask requirement changing this week, I wanted to share some important information with you.
With this change, a lot of people think about change in physical safety (will my child get COVID?). We are also thinking about the change from a social-emotional standpoint at Cove. On Tuesday morning at Cove in Motion, I will address the student body about expectations regarding respecting different choices around masking. The message will be one of acceptance. Some will choose to wear a mask. Others will choose not to. That is okay. You are safe. You can make a choice that works for your family
Our counselors have crafted talking points for teachers and teachers will be reviewing these with their students on Tuesday morning. Here is a Masking Social Story you can talk through with your children if they are feeling anxious about the change.
Additionally, here is the LCM Covid 19 Update (Including Masking Updates) that provides information about how we will handle illness and students who test positive.
Given the high vaccination rate in Marin County (92% of 5+ year olds are vaccinated) and the CDC rating of “low” for Marin County (The CDC looks at the combination of three metrics — new COVID-19 admissions per 100,000 population in the past 7 days, the percent of staffed inpatient beds occupied by COVID-19 patients, and total new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population in the past 7 days — to determine the COVID-19 community level), I am feeling positive about this change.
While this week will feel different and the changes will take time to get used to, I am confident our community will adapt as they have been every step of the way for the past 2 years. #CoyoteStrong
Sincerely,
Michelle Walker

The online auction will be available to preview starting Monday, March 14th so you can start browsing.
Sign-up Parties are hosted by parents and are offered at a fixed price, depending on the day and time of the event. These items are first-come, first-serve, and can sell out really early!
