Staff Appreciation Week is This Week! We are so fortunate to have such outstanding teaching, support and administrative staff at The Cove School! This week, May 2-6 is Staff Appreciation Week and we hope you will join the PTO in making it a very special week. Throughout the week, we will shower them with a gift and a special luncheon from the PTO. And, on Friday, at our assembly we will recognize all staff with Coyote Awards and envelopes full of cards!
You can:
Make a card at home for your teacher/s (give directly to the teacher/s on Wednesday, 5/4)
Make a card for any other staff members you want to appreciate (drop it in the office by Wednesday, 5/4). List of All Cove Staff Names
Flower Day- Monday, May 2- Have your child bring a single flower for their teacher/s and anyone else they want to appreciate. You can divide up a bouquet for a few special adults to appreciate if you want!
Let’s come together and shower the Cove Community love on this very special group of people, our faculty and staff, who make such an important difference in our children's lives.
Sincerely,
Michelle Walker, Principal

National Walk and Roll To School Day is This Wednesday, May 4th! Our Goal: NO cars in the loop on Wednesday. At last Friday’s assembly, students heard about our challenge- let’s ALL find a green way to school! Julie Griffiths, our Safe Routes to School volunteer has organized ways for everyone to participate- whether you live close or far!
Live in Larkspur? Meet Mrs. Walker for the bike train at the footbridge behind Redwood (near Andrew’s Camp) at 7:35am.
Live in Corte Madera? Meet Mrs. Walker’s bike train and Safe Routes parent volunteer Julie to bike, scoot or walk from the Cove neighborhood. Meet at 7:50 at the intersection of Spindrift and Seawolf.
Live far away? Park and join us at Spindrift and Seawolf (see above).
Don't forget your JEDI card that day! There will be a table to collect cards and we will have a raffle at Cove in Motion that morning!
The Cove Variety Show is this Friday! Come watch our talented students shine! Even if you don’t have a child in the show, come support their friends as they perform; they would love to play to a packed house! This is a free show on a first come, first serve basis. Big Slice pizza will be sold before the show. This Friday, May 6th! Doors open at 5:30pm and the show starts at 6:00pm in the Neil Cummins Gym.
Variety Show Performers: The mandatory Dress Rehearsal is this Tuesday, May 3rd, 3:30pm - 6:00pm in the Neil Cummins Gymnasium. For more information please refer to your Variety Show email communications.
Boots & Bling Numbers More than 200 parents, teachers and staff attended the SPARK spring event at Hopmonk Tavern last week! We loved celebrating in person, dancing under the lights, and most importantly, raising money for our schools. The event grossed close to $160k from ticket sales, live auction, raffle, and the paddle raise. We invite all families who have not yet contributed to Annual Giving or made a payment towards their pledge, to do it now so that we can reach our $1.5M year-end fundraising goal! Support SPARK here.
