Principal's Message 

Dear Families,

We have just 2 event-packed weeks left of school! This week we have Tinker Day on Wednesday and Field Day on Friday. The next week we have many class celebrations and our 5th grade culmination...Lots of special events to build some precious memories.

TINKER DAY:

• Sign up to volunteer 9:30-12:00 (or a portion therein) that day.

  • Please sign up here to help! We will find a role for you. We need lots of helping hands! No prior experience needed! Cove Tinker Day Sign up sheet

• Send cardboard and recyclables for our general tinkering area.  Bring them in on May 31 or June 1. We need the following:

  • socks for puppets 

  • fabrics/ yarn

  • toilet paper tubes, wrapping paper tubes, paper towel tubes!

  • old electronics or items that kids can safely disassemble

  • cardboard boxes, egg cartons

  • Masking tape, Duct tape

  • Please send a bag of clean items to share (clean recycling, tubes, any crafty items).

TINKER DAY: A beloved Cove tradition of STEAM and FUN returns!

We need lots of volunteers for Tinker Day activities from 9:30-11:30am.  Please sign up to help with a station- no prior experience needed (for most)! Cove Tinker Day Sign up sheet

Supplies Needed! Please bring in on Tuesday or Wednesday morning drop off to The Gallery your: cardboard boxes, old electronics, socks for puppets, fabrics/ yarn, masking tape, Duct tapePlease send a bag of clean items to share (clean recycling, tubes, any crafty items) and please, no glass!

Library Books Due All books are due back to the library by Tuesday, May 31st. Please help your child return any books still out or send in a check for the replacement cost of the books. Please email covelibrarystaff@lcmschools.org if you have any questions.

Yearbook Distribution For students who ordered a yearbook, they will be distributed in the classroom the week of June 6th.  We will plan to sell any leftover inventory in front of the office on Tuesday, June 7th after school and Wednesday, June 8th before school (supply depending). First come, first served. No placeholders.

Join SPARK Board Next Year Would you like to get more involved with SPARK? We are looking for a secretary, two Hall Co-VP’s and a 2nd person to join Annual Giving as a Co-Chair - all of these positions will sit on the Executive Team, And of course, we have many additional opportunities both big and small for parents to help for the 2022-2023 school year.   Email info@SPARKschools.org if interested and learn more here.

Order Left Bank Meals Today for dinner on Monday! May 30th menu: Coq au vin, linguine, salad vert, broccoli. Feeds a family of four for $50 and 20% will go back to SPARK. To order, click here.
