Don’t Forget to Vote! The Larkspur-Corte Madera Board of Trustees placed Measure E on the June 7, 2022 ballot. The measure would renew the existing parcel tax at current rates over a ten-year term. This parcel tax generates approximately $4 million in annual funding for The Cove School, Neil Cummins Elementary and Hall Middle School and allows for senior exemptions. For more information on Measure E please review the County of Marin Voter Information Guide.
Dear Families,
As we depart for summer, I am once again struck by how fortunate I am to be leading this fabulous community. Last week’s festivities included Tinker Day (Tinker Day pictures here) and Field Day (Field Day pictures here). When our community comes together for events like these, it inspires me and continuously reminds me of why I love this work so much!
On Wednesday morning, we will bid farewell to our 5th graders in a special culmination assembly. They are more than ready for their next adventure, and I wish them well!
Thursday, June 9th is 1:15pm dismissal for all students. I look forward to 4 more memorable days with your children. Thank you for a fantastic 2021-2022 school year at Cove!
Sincerely,
Michelle Walker, Principal
Tinker Day was a Success!
Thank you to all who donated supplies, volunteered to run a station, and to our Tinker Day Lead, Dr. Chris Slowe, Cove PTO VP of Technology.

A note from our outgoing PTO President, Kristen Slowe
Looking back on my two years as President, it was busy to say the least. My first year as President we navigated remote learning and cohorts, we banded together and rallied for our school.
This year, we celebrated a return to our regular schedule with our Fall Family Picnic, Holiday Store, Variety Show, Cove in Motion, Safe Routes, incredible spirit wear (and sales!), a return to keeping our Teacher and Staff lounge stocked with goodies and Tinker Day to name just a few successes. We raised a historic and unprecedented $85,000 during our 2022 Readathon.
We never would have had these successes if it wasn’t for such an incredible board and supportive Cove Community. It has been an honor to work with you all and serve the Cove as President. This isn't goodbye though as I will remain on the Board as Editor of the weekly Cove Connection.
Please join me in welcoming our two incoming Co-Presidents for next year, Kate Kropf and Catherine Wold.
Sincerely,
Kristen Slowe
Thank You From The Cove PTO
We would like to send out a special thank you to all of the Classroom Coordinators who worked hard this year for all of our classrooms! We couldn't have done it without you! Your role is important, and we appreciate all of the time you put in this year to help our teachers and students.
A big thanks to Jessica Pasculli and Sarah Evans for leading our Coyotes in CIM on Thursdays all year! If interested in helping with CIM next year, please email: president@covepto.org
Lost and Found: Last Chance Any remaining items on Thursday, June 9th will be collected and donated.
Library Books were due on May 31 Please help your child return any books still out or send in a check for the replacement cost of the books. Please email covelibrarystaff@lcmschools.org. if you have any questions.
WE DID IT! HOORAY! Thanks to our incredible community we have hit our $1.5M goal! While we are still counting on pledge payments to come through and outstanding corporate matches, we are thrilled to share that we had a record-breaking year of 75% Annual Giving participation. Hitting our fundraising goal also means that we will be able to maintain our current level of support to the District next year! A tremendous thank you to our board members and volunteers for helping us achieve this milestone for our three schools.
