Principal's Message

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a restful and refreshing summer. We are busy preparing for an awesome year ahead.

School begins at 8:15 on Wednesday, August 17th.

Important Information:

You will receive a class placement email on Monday, August 15 by 4pm with your child’s class assignment and a welcome letter and drop off directions from your child’s teacher.
Campus Security:
- No one other than staff and students may enter campus past the gates (including the white portable gates). Any adult entering campus must come through the front door, check in at the office and follow current protocols regarding vaccination, COVID testing, etc.
- For the first week of school, all teachers will meet their class outside the gates and walk them in. During that week, teachers will teach students the regular routine.
Please allow extra time to park and walk. No parking in the loop or any staff parking spaces. Biking, scootering and walking are encouraged!
Bring a water bottle, snack and lunch (or order LunchMaster school lunches in advance- see details below). No lunch during school for kindergarten until August 29 due to 12:15 dismissal.
If your child’s classroom is nut-restricted, please be sure to help keep all of our students safe and healthy. The teacher will notify you if your class is nut-restricted.
Keep all pets at home and please do not tie them to a school fence during school hours, drop off and/or pick up times

Corte Madera Parks & Rec Presents Encanto at San Clemente Park (Cove Park)

Live music 6:00pm-8:00pm, movie to begin at 8:30pm.

PTO sponsored popcorn and Abel’s Taco Truck available for purchase!

Mark your calendar for "Back to School Movie Night at Cove Park" August 19th beginning at 6:00pm. Corte Madera Parks and Rec will provide live music from 6:00pm-8:00pm and will be showing Encanto at sundown (8:30pm). Abel's Taco Truck will onsite selling dinner (cash & venmo) and our PTO will provide the popcorn! There will be new Cove spiritwear for sale (cash & venmo). Bring a blanket, lawnchair, and we'll see you there!

The Cove Orders Your Child's School Supplies So You Don’t Have To! Please check your email for a message from Actionaly yesterday (Saturday) to pay for your child's supplies this year. We are asking $55 per child. Please contribute as you are able.

Welcome Back to School from the PTO! Hello Cove Community! We hope everyone had a great summer. Please plan on joining us for the Welcome Coffee in the Gallery directly following drop off on the first day of school. Classroom Coordinators Wanted Every class needs at least two classroom coordinators to act as a liaison between parents and their teacher. This is an integral role! If interested, please email Classroom Coordinator Lead, Elisa Cullen at emagscullen@gmail.com for more information. A Mandatory Classroom Coordinator meeting will be held on August 30th from 8:30am-9:00am in the library as well as via Zoom at 8pm that night. Link to follow.

Do you have a green thumb? The Cove Garden Needs Help!

We are looking for a Cove Garden lead as well as garden helpers! Our Cove Garden is loved by students and teachers alike! If interested in helping contact: president@covepto.org

SPARK is… the non-profit fundraising organization that supports programs that would otherwise be cut at our schools (music, art, technology, and wellness). The Foundation raises $1.5M each year to fund programs and materials for this school year for the three schools in the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District. The largest revenue source comes from the Annual Giving campaign - and we ask that every single family support SPARK with a financial contribution each year. There are many ways to donate - online with a one-time payment, monthly installments, with a gift of stock and utilizing corporate match. Learn more about SPARK here.

Fun Run is Back! Save the date, Sunday, October 2nd. This is a family-friendly event that will be held at the Village at Corte Madera. More details coming your way in a few weeks.
