Thank You for an Amazing Back to School Night!
Thank you to all who joined us for a successful Back to School Night. Your partnership sets us up for a great year ahead. I also want to extend a huge thank you to our amazing teachers for the time and effort they put into their presentations!
Here is the Back to School Night Gallery Presentation. I shared about our recent staff development around focusing on strengths. There are two slogans that come to mind when I think about how we aspire to interact with your children: “Focus on what’s strong, not on what’s wrong” and “Connection before content.” Here are some of the resources in case you want to learn more about the personal strengths assessment or the books I was referring to:
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:
LunchMaster is back next week. However, we still have no one to serve lunch in the coming weeks. We need your help! Volunteers must be vaccinated and must show proof in the front office before they may start their first shift. Sign Up Here: Cove Lunch and Recess Volunteers 2022-2023.
Be On Time! School starts at 8:15am each day. Arrive by 8:10am. This gives time to put backpacks away and be ready to learn at 8:15. If your child arrives late (after 8:15am, including Cove in Motion days), they need to sign in through the office and get a tardy slip.
School Picture Day is September 8. Place your order online or send your child to school with the photo form that was delivered home in their backpack. Class and individual photos will be taken on the same day.
If you are not ordering photos of your child, they will still take an individual photo and be included in the class photo.
Reminder! Lost and Found Is Open to families Mondays - Thursdays in the Gallery and Fridays outside at the loop. You can also view this album which will be updated weekly with Lost and Found treasures.
Join us for the first PTO Board Meeting of the year Wednesday, September 7th at 8:30am in the Gallery. You do not have to sit on the board to attend and we would love to see everyone there. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the school, meet new friends and share ideas. Coffee will be served. Please bring your own coffee cup to help keep our campus green.
Reminder! Please join the PTO as a contributing member. Your contributions go directly to classrooms and staff at Cove! This includes professional development, curriculum materials, staff appreciation activities and meals, parent education seminars, and family social events and more! Log into your Actionaly account or click here to donate to the Cove PTO.
