Día de los Muertos at the Cove Have you seen Coco? Día de los Muertos, a well-respected Latin American tradition, is a way to honor and remember our loved ones who have passed away. This year again, Cove coyotes are invited to engage by submitting pictures of decorative artwork and/or photos of their loved ones who have passed away.
A group of fabulous parent volunteers will print and hang your photos outside in front of the school to form an altar. We will share pictures of the altar and learn about the Day of the Dead holiday in our October 28 assembly. Submit art and pictures here by October 27. Día de los Muertos Photos 2021

No blood/ gore, weapons, masks from home.

Kindergarten Parade: At 1:30pm on October 31, we will have a parade of our kindergartners. It lasts about 10 minutes and will go around the blacktop. Kindergarteners will get to parade around with their costumes and/or hand made masks while the rest of the school watches and cheers for them. Grades 1-5 line their classes up around the perimeter for K’s to walk by. There will be a clear parent area for kindergarten parents, separate from students. This is a cherished and very brief school-wide celebration that honors our young students!
