Just a few memories from Tinker Day 2023
Thank you to Kristen & Chris Slowe and our many, many volunteers and vendors- Steve & Kate’s, Playwell, Tinker Tech!
Dear Cove Families,
Tinker Day was a huge success! On Friday, Mar 17, we sparked students’ interest with an impressive Magic and Science assembly with the famous Wayne Houchin.
Then on Tinker Day (Wednesday, Mar 22) grades 2-5 got to choose their own adventure. We were able to offer 22 activity choices thanks to our volunteers and community partners. Here is a list of the Tinker Day Stations and the Tinker Day Assembly kick off slide deck.
The kids were incredibly engaged and enthusiastic about tinkering. We tried to capture the magic in this Cove Tinker Day 2023 Google Photo Album. Then, in Friday’s assembly (Mar 24), we shared videos and pictures to share the array of student experiences and creations.
Thank you to those of you who sent supplies and volunteered your time and expertise! I want to extend a huge thank you to Chris and Kristen Slowe, our amazing Tinker Day coordinators!
My hope is that this special day sparked creativity, planted some seeds for future inventors and created lasting memories for these students. Ask your child to share what they explored!
Sincerely,
Michelle Walker, Principal

CoveCares is a New PTO Committee that is here to support our Cove families and staff in times of need. Community is a critical part of our school dynamic and CoveCares is now a formal team that helps show we care when families or staff members are struggling with serious life events. Whether it's an illness, death in the family, loss of a job or otherwise, CoveCares is a thoughtful way to show we are here to support our Cove community (eg. flowers, cards, setting up meal trains, connection and resources). If you know of a family who may be grappling with a major life event, please email covecares@covepto.org.
