Dear Families,
As we depart for summer, I am once again struck by how fortunate I am to be leading this fabulous community. Last week’s Field Day was a huge success. When our community comes together for events like this, it inspires me and continuously reminds me of why I love this work so much!
On Thursday morning, we will bid farewell to our 5th graders in a special culmination assembly. They are more than ready for their next adventure, and I wish them well!
Friday, June 9th is 1:15pm dismissal for all students. I look forward to the last week of school with your children. Thank you for a fantastic 2022-2023 school year at Cove!

Thank You, Classroom Coordinators We would like to send out a special thank you to all of the Classroom Coordinators who worked hard this year for all of our classrooms! We couldn't have done it without all of you! Another big thank you to all of the volunteers who brought in items for the Staff Lounge! It was so appreciated by our staff all year long!
Yearbook Reminder Yearbooks will be handed out in class on Tuesday, June 6th. The VERY limited number of extra yearbooks will be for sale for $35 (cash or Venmo) after school on Tuesday, June 6th and before school on Wednesday, June 7th, while supplies last. *Please note that we are not able to reserve yearbooks - they will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
Library Books DUE! All library books were due back to the library on Tuesday, May 30th. Please help your child return any books still out or send in a check for the replacement cost of the books.
If you have pledged but have yet to donate, please reconfirm your commitment by submitting your payment today or letting us know when to expect it. Please join the 75% of families who have come together to support our students and teachers. As a reminder, all pledges are due on or before June 30, 2023. If you haven’t donated to Annual Giving this year, remember that all funds raised this year are spent this year. DONATE TODAY!

LCMSD Board Updates The Board will be meeting on June 7, 2023 at 6:00p in the Hall Library. Neil Cummins PTO will be celebrated. A public hearing will be conducted for the Local Control Accountability Plan and the 2023-24 Budget. Additionally, the Board will meet on June 8, 2023 at 8:30a in the Neil Cummins Staff Lounge. The Board will be voting on the Local Control Accountability Plan and the 2023-24 Budget. These meetings will also be live streamed via Zoom (link; passcode - lcmsd). Please know, public comments will only be taken by in person attendees; public comments via Zoom will not be available. If you cannot attend the meeting, public comments are welcome via email (mokeeffe@lcmschools.org) and will be included in Board Meeting minutes. We hope to see you there!
